Allison's Story

My name is Allison Delgrosso, and I like many other people in this country have a weight problem. I have been overweight my entire life. I was never one for fad diets and have never had much of a weight change except that it continued to grow. I really felt that I was meant to be the weight I was (234 lbs), and that there was no way for me to lose it. I thought I did everything right, I drank diet soda, I ate foods with no fat, I counted calories, and never really ate that much. Little did I know that those were the reasons I wasn’t losing the weight.

Then it happened. You know, that moment in your life where you realize you have to change or it will kill you. While I was putting my son to bed (we washed up, we brushed our teeth, we changed our clothes) and was about to read him a story, I realized I couldn’t catch my breath. Here I was a 35 year old woman, with a five year old son, and I couldn’t even put him to bed without being winded. The next day, I called my friend Terry who had lost over 100 pounds doing the Metabolic Balance program. I called the office in Celebration that very day and I haven’t looked back since.

I met with the staff and immediately felt I wasn’t alone in this anymore. With the metabolic typing I received, I learned what foods are good for me and my body. I learned the proper portions and I learned why my body reacted to food and stored fat the way that it did. I loved the fact that this was all food that I can buy at the supermarket and I didn’t feel that I had to buy “pre-packaged” foods that did nothing to teach me to do this for myself. The training and the coaching are amazing and for the first time in my life I have lost a significant amount of weight and I have the confidence that I will keep this off for the rest of my life. I have lost 71 pounds to date, and I have all confidence that I will make my goal. Debbie and the staff at Metabolic Balance have forever changed my life and I will be forever grateful.
